Artist’s Note:
My favorite element of this piece is the colors. The image started out as a closeup photo of a bird feather, a series of gray and ordinary lines. After playing around with the style, texture, and colors, this final image appeared. It just seemed so otherworldly. I associate feathers with flight, and traveling to this place could only happen as a dream. So, calling this piece a dreamscape felt natural. The lines seemed to create a horizon, like being on the cusp of possibility. The original photograph was full of possibility!
