Dreams I am
unable to salvage submerge and settle like a forgotten room in the house, a secret chamber of ruminating pharaohs. I need a hieroglyphic code, a Rosetta Stone, a key to the secluded room, tucked deep in the recesses of the basement perhaps, or invisibly perched atop the roof like a transparent crown. A dream archeologist, hampered by wakefulness, I know it’s there but cannot find the door, no matter how much I burrow and sift, dimly aware that the door stands ajar (all this time), slowly cracking open light within. |
